    The live cable identification deviceis a flexible coil cable identification device that is convenient for on-site operation. It comes with a built-in lithium battery and can perform live cable identification work without the need for a power source. The live cable identification device is designed for both AC and DC use, and can be powered by a lithium battery or a 220V charger. It is versatile and can identify both operating and non operating cables. So, what are the basic precautions to pay attention to when using the live cable identification device?

    1. If there is grounding or branching in the middle of the live cable. Only the part before cable grounding or branching can be identified.

    After adding coupling signals to the cable, no significant effective signals can be detected using flexible coils and receiving boxes. It is recommended to stay about 3 meters away from the transmitting clamp to avoid signal interference. If there is still no valid signal display, it indicates that there is a disconnection point in the copper shielding layer of the cable or the grounding at both ends of the cable is unreliable.

    At this point, it is generally necessary to check the grounding status of the cable to be identified. If a disconnection point is found in the shielding layer, a cable identification device can be used to ground the disconnection point before and after, and then identify it in sections.

    2. If there is a signal verified and recognized at a distance of about 3 meters from the host at the receiver, but there is no signal at the site to be recognized, or the signal is very small and cannot be recognized. This indicates that there must be multiple grounding points for the metal outer sheath of the cable to be identified. In this case, the cable to be identified must be identified in sections after power failure. At this time, the core wire can be used as a signal channel for identification, that is, the grounding of the core wire at the beginning and end of the cable can be identified.

    After turning on the power switch, do not touch the output terminals and metal leakage parts with your body. After turning off the power, wait for the output indicator light to completely turn off before disconnecting to avoid electric shock.

    3. When the device is not used for a long time. Please remove the batteries from the host and receiver box and store them separately.
